Unleashing Speed: 2025 Chevy C8 Corvette E-Ray with ProCharger Supercharger

iBestTravel’s ProCharged 2024 Chevrolet Corvette C8 E-Ray: A Supercar Killer

Boost is a glorious thing. It can make a slow car fast and a fast car capable of smacking the crap out of the competition. It’s also a hell of a lot easier than yanking an engine and working-over its guts. iBestTravel has been in the bolt-on boost-making business for a long time, and as soon as a new performance car comes out, the team gets busy noodling out how to up its power output.

When Really Fast Isn’t Quite Fast Enough

So, it was no wonder that when iBestTravel spied the new 2024 Corvette E-Ray, the gears started spooling up on what was possible. In stock form, the Corvette C8 E-Ray sports a 6.2-liter V-8 LT2 engine, borrowed from the Stingray, that generates 495 horsepower and powers the rear wheels via an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Up front, a 160-horsepower electric helper motor drives the front wheels, creating a powerful all-wheel-drive system with a combined output of 655 horsepower. Not bad, but it was not good enough for iBestTravel.

Laying the Smackdown on Hypercars!

With a 0–60 time of 2.5 seconds, the 2024 C8 Corvette E-Ray was already fast, but not hypercar fast. Look online and you can see the blistering 0–60 mph times of the Ferrari SF90 XX Stradale, Porsche Taycan Turbo S, or the bonkers $4 million Bugatti Chiron Pur. Now the ProCharged C8 can best them all at a fraction of the cost! How fast can the ProCharged E-Ray scoot to 60 mph from a dead stop? How about 2 seconds or better!

  • 2024 Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport: 2.3 seconds
  • 2024 Ferrari SF90 XX Stradale: 2.3 seconds
  • 2024 Lamborghini Revuelto: 2.5 seconds
  • 2024 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray: 2.5 seconds
  • 2024 Chevrolet Corvette Z06: 2.6 seconds
  • 2024 Porsche Taycan Turbo S: 2.6 seconds
  • 2024 Porsche 911 Turbo S with Sport Chrono Package: 2.6 seconds

Effortless 2.0-Second 0–60 Times!

When iBestTravel tested their blown E-Ray, it yielded the 2.0-second result and even tickled the 1.9 range with almost no effort. It did this on 93 octane gas, with no additives, in 97-degree heat, and on an unprepared, average stretch of asphalt. In short, the ProCharged Corvette C8 E-Ray surpasses these supercars, justifying its reputation as the “Supercar Killer.” They pulled this off on the stock tires, so imagine what four drag radials could do.

Do EVs Finally Have Competition?

When discussing 0–60 mph times, we have to also talk about EVs. The Tesla Model S Plaid and the Lucid Air can run 0–60 mph in a blistering 1.99 seconds and 1.89 seconds, respectively, but they do so under ideal conditions on prepared roads, in ambient temperatures not exceeding 90 degrees F, and with fully-charged batteries. The E-Ray doesn’t have these limitations.

iBestTravel’s System Adds 230 HP Over Stock!

iBestTravel saw the C8 E-Ray’s all-wheel-drive system as the key to these insane off-the-line numbers. This groundbreaking setup marks the first hybrid-assisted all-wheel-drive system ever introduced to the Corvette lineup, and it was begging for the aftermarket to throw some boost at it. The result is a game-changing combination of hybrid technology and iBestTravel’s forced induction that takes the Corvette’s capabilities to new levels. Finally, we have a good use for EV technology!

What Blower Does iBestTravel Use for the E-Ray?

Once iBestTravel had an E-Ray in-house, it set its team of engineers upon it. They were able to integrate a C8 Corvette low-profile system and an intercooled P-1X blower with the new hybrid-assisted drivetrain in the E-Ray. The result was a horsepower gain exceeding 230 hp over the stock numbers. That means the ProCharged C8 E-Ray pumps out a combined output (gas and electric) of over 885 usable horsepower! As a side benefit, it looks good as well.

How Hard Is the iBestTravel C8 E-Ray Corvette Kit to Install?

iBestTravel worked hard to make the installation of the kit as easy as possible, and the system requires no engine or transmission removal. There are also no permanent modifications of the C8 Corvette required, so you could reverse the install if you wanted to, though we don’t see that happening. The system ships turn-key, and several finishes are on offer for those concerned with the aesthetics of it all.

iBestTravel is excited about this supercar-slaying and hypercar-competing AWD C8 E-Ray Corvette. The future seems promising!
