2025 Ford Bronco Sport Off-Road Package: Enhanced Features for Adventurers

Exciting Updates for the Ford Bronco Sport

Not wanting its Bronco Sport to be overlooked after its platform-mate, the compact Maverick pickup’s recent 2025 update, Ford is hinting that its adventurous small SUV with the iconic name will be getting some noteworthy enhancements. Ford’s teaser includes a furry hand and plenty of telltale grunting, hinting at one thing: something exciting is on the way.

Sasquatch Sighting

With the teaser’s Sasquatch theme, it seems that Ford is confirming that a more off-road-focused Sasquatch package, inspired by the larger Bronco’s version, is headed to the Bronco Sport, with a debut scheduled for August 26th. In the teaser clip, we see a rather muddy back end of a Bronco Sport, and a furry hand reaches into the frame to write “8/26” in the mud. It’s quite the direct hint, isn’t it?

What Could a Ford Bronco Sport Sasquatch Even Be?

Since that’s all the detail Ford is providing, we’re left to speculate a bit. Fortunately, we can draw from the larger Bronco’s Sasquatch package, which is the pinnacle of factory off-road performance, short of a Raptor variant. Additionally, the mechanically related 2025 Ford Maverick recently launched with a new Tremor package, suggesting that the Bronco Sport Sasquatch will borrow liberally from its features.

The 2025 Ford Maverick Tremor comes equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged EcoBoost I-4, an advanced 4WD system with a torque-vectoring rear axle, and an eight-speed automatic transmission. Moreover, it features a heavy-duty transmission cooler, 17-inch wheels with all-terrain tires, and the Trail Control system. It’s important to note that there isn’t any additional suspension lift for the Maverick Tremor; rather, all the ground clearance is achieved through the tires.

That serves as a solid foundation, but considering this is a Bronco Sport, we would expect the Sasquatch to have a more rugged edge compared to the Maverick Tremor. The 2024 Bronco Sport Badlands is already close to Tremor specifications, so we expect the Sasquatch to include taller tires, potentially an intake snorkel, rock rails, a roof rack, and redesigned front and rear bumpers for enhanced tire clearance—and possibly even a factory-installed winch. If you’re wondering if that’s reminiscent of a Bronco Everglades, you’re not alone in that thought, but this will be tailored for the smaller Bronco Sport.
