This course ensures trucks are tested in an environment that reflects their intended use, highlighting their off-road abilities rather than solely focusing on racetrack performance.

The 2024 Ford Ranger Raptor marks the first American-market Raptorized version of Ford’s midsize pickup. This model aims to compete with well-known rivals, including the Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro, Chevrolet Colorado ZR2, and Jeep Gladiator Mojave.

Under the hood, the Ranger Raptor is equipped with a modified engine originally found in the Bronco Raptor, featuring a longer exhaust and repositioned charge cooler. While this setup is ideal for off-road conditions, it results in a minor decrease in power. The 3.0-liter twin-turbo V-6 engine produces 405 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque, coupled with a modified transfer case and locking differentials that enhance its off-road performance.
