2025 Kia EV6 Electric SUV Updates
We’re getting a fresh update to the sporty 2025 Kia EV6 electric SUV later this year. Exciting new images have surfaced, revealing updated lighting both front and rear, initially showcased for the South Korean market. Here’s everything we can expect from the revised EV6 when it is likely available in the U.S. later this year or early next year.
Performance Specifications
The current EV6 is equipped with a robust 77.4-kWh battery pack, providing various performance applications. It offers:
- Up to 310 miles of range with 225 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque (rear-wheel drive).
- Up to 218 miles with 576 horsepower and 545 lb-ft of torque on the high-performance dual-motor, all-wheel-drive GT trim.
These figures are expected to remain the same for the updated model, at least according to the South Korean specifications released thus far. However, the upgraded 2025 model is anticipated to feature an improved 84 kWh battery pack, similar to its sibling, the Hyundai Ioniq 5, which may enhance range capabilities.
Exterior Design Updates
The newly released images provide a clear view of the EV6’s revamped exterior design. Key updates include:
- More angular lighting, aligning with newer models like the global EV5 electric SUV and K4 compact sedan.
- A light overhaul at the rear, including subtle tweaks to the lighting graphics.
This striking new look is attributed to the fresh Star Map Signature Lighting setup at the front, complemented by modifications to the taillights and lower rear design.
Interior Enhancements
Inside, updates include:
- Two 12.3-inch displays remain, along with an available head-up display.
- The Kia logo has been repositioned on the steering wheel.
- New seat temperature control buttons and a fingerprint reader for starting the vehicle.
- Enhanced voice control, along with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality.
- A power-tilting steering column and digital rear-view mirror have been introduced.
- Upgraded steering grip detection and a redesigned wireless phone charging pad.
- Two new airbags in the second row, raising the total to ten airbags across the vehicle.
Release Date Expectations
The refreshed EV6 is projected to launch by the end of the year, based on previous presentations from the manufacturer. The anticipation surrounding this electric SUV certainly builds excitement among potential buyers.
