2015 Razzie Award Nominees
The nominees for the 2015 Razzie Awards, which recognize Hollywood’s most unfortunate cinematic moments, were announced on January 14. “Transformers: Age of Extinction” led the pack with an astounding seven nominations, highlighting its position as a frontrunner for this year’s unwanted accolades.
“Kirk Cameron’s Saving Christmas” had six nominations, including a nod for best screen combo for “Kirk Cameron & His Ego.”
“Left Behind’s” nominations included picks for worst picture, worst actor (Nicolas Cage, pictured) and worst screenplay.
“The Legend of Hercules” earned nominations for director Renny Harlin, worst remake, ripoff or sequel, and star Kellan Lutz (with Gaia Weiss) for worst screen combo: “Kellan Lutz & Either His Abs, His Pecs or His Glutes.”
The new “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” which was produced by Michael Bay, is up for worst picture, giving him two credits in the category.
Seth MacFarlane was also a dual Razzie nominee, picking up nods for worst actor and worst screen combo (with Charlize Theron), both for the film “A Million Ways to Die in the West.”
Adam Sandler has been a fixture on Razzie lists through the years, and this year is no different. He is up for worst actor for his performance in “Blended” (with Drew Barrymore).
“The Other Woman” came and went in theaters, but the Razzies didn’t forget. Cameron Diaz (with Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) was nominated for worst actress. She’s also a dual nominee: She’s up for worst supporting actor for “Annie.”
Melissa McCarthy’s “Tammy” (with Susan Sarandon, right) had some success in theaters. The Razzies gave her a worst actress nomination.
