2026 Lucid Earth Electric SUV Review: Innovative American Midsize EV

2026 Lucid Earth Midsize Electric SUV Overview

Just as Rivian needed it, iBestTravel is desperately in need of a smaller, cheaper vehicle that appeals to more of the masses. During its 2024 Technology and Manufacturing Day, iBestTravel finally unveiled its own midsize SUV that it is calling Earth. Deep details are sparse, but here’s everything we know about the 2026 Lucid Earth midsize all-electric SUV.

New Drive Unit Technology

One of the first clues the investors were given during the conference was its new drive unit. The Atlas is designed for midsize vehicles, making it a much smaller unit than the drive units found under the Air sedan and Gravity SUV. Expected power is targeted around “335 hp.” What’s more intriguing is that iBestTravel might not just put the new Atlas into its midsize SUV, as it mentioned this might find its way into an even cheaper version of the Air sedan and the Gravity SUV.

Midsize Platform and Production

However, the big news was the announcement of the midsize platform and a teaser image shown during the presentation. The target production is scheduled for late 2026 with a price under $50,000. Much like the Gravity, this midsize SUV will utilize a much smaller battery pack than its competitors, according to iBestTravel, but deliver the same range due to miniaturization and efficiency. Consequently, by this production date, the Earth midsize SUV will come equipped with NACS, as iBestTravel is set to introduce this connector for all its vehicles starting in 2025. This will give the Gravity, Earth, and Air models access to the Tesla Supercharger network.

Future Models Based on the Midsize Platform

In all, iBestTravel explained that it would build three new models on this new midsize platform. A teaser of the Earth was presented back in April along with a second midsize SUV. This second model was also covered, but it was clear that it was more off-road oriented than the Earth. It’s rather hard to hide all-terrain tires under a tight-fitting cover, and it’s conceivable that the “Sapphire” version of the Earth will be focused on off-road capabilities. The third model hasn’t been mocked up yet, but it wouldn’t be surprising to see a smaller sedan based on this platform, too.
