Explore Mallorca: A Comprehensive 7-Day Itinerary

Your Ultimate 7-Day Mallorca Itinerary

While many Mallorcan itineraries begin in Palma, I prefer kicking off my vacation at a more relaxed pace in Soller. Nestled just a 35-minute drive from the airport, Soller offers a laid-back atmosphere, beautifully preserved historic squares, and charming cobbled streets where families gather to enjoy local cuisine and culture.

The honey-colored buildings and breathtaking views of the Serra de Tramuntana create a picturesque setting that’s perfect for your Mallorca getaway. This quaint town serves as an ideal base for exploring Palma and nearby beaches throughout your holiday.

When to Arrive

Mallorca is lovely year-round. Winter sees many coastal resorts close, but it’s perfect for hiking the Serra de Tramuntana and Serra de Llevant mountain ranges or enjoying cozy farm stays inland. Spring and autumn are popular with mild weather and various activities, yet summer stands out for its vibrant and bustling atmosphere, perfect for sun-worshippers.

How to Get from the Airport

If you’re staying in Palma, taxis and the EMT A1 bus are convenient transport options, running every 15 minutes during the day. In summer, AEROTIB buses provide direct routes to major resorts like Alcudia and Can Picafort, making travel seamless.

How to Get Around

The public transport system is efficient, with buses connecting Palma to many tourist destinations across the island. However, for this itinerary, renting a car is recommended as it allows greater exploration of Mallorca’s villages and hidden beaches, which are often only accessible by vehicle.

What to Pack

During the summer, pack light and breathable fabrics to stay cool, along with a few dressier outfits for dining. While beachwear is generally not acceptable in restaurants, casual chic attire is encouraged. A light rain jacket is advisable as Mallorca’s west coast can experience occasional showers, and water shoes are a smart choice due to rocky shorelines.
