Currently in damp Dublin, the prospect of summer feels distant. Instead, I’ve planned an impulse getaway to Tenerife in January, aiming to bask in some blue skies. We’ll be staying in the northern part of the island, renowned for its incredible hiking trails. Though I might not tackle Pico del Teide, Spain’s highest peak, there are plenty of less challenging routes that could jumpstart my new year fitness journey.

My birthday falls on Bastille Day, and witnessing the celebrations in Paris has always been a dream of mine. This year, I’m surprising my fiancé with a dual trip: a celebration of Bastille Day, filled with croissants for me, and a visit to Disneyland Paris for him.

Vietnam has consistently topped my travel list for years. I’m finally determined to explore this beautiful country in 2023 and hopefully discover a new favorite Vietnamese dish along the way.

As my partner and I prepare for our honeymoon in Greece in 2024, we’ve planned several smaller trips for this year. We aim to explore the charming streets of Charleston, South Carolina, indulge in the culinary delights of Savannah, Georgia, and soak up the sun in Santa Fe, New Mexico. We also hope to revisit Asheville, North Carolina, our favorite fall getaway.

Before the pandemic, I intended to visit Morocco, a destination still unchecked on my list. A weekend break in Marrakesh is on my radar this year. It’s just a short flight from Dublin, making it an easy escape. Additionally, I’m weighing my options between quieter Canary Islands for a peaceful getaway post-England trip for the Glastonbury music festival. If the Grand Egyptian Museum opens in 2023, I’ll be heading to Cairo. However, as always, my travel plans might just shift!

After fulfilling my 2022 resolution to walk the Camino de Santiago, my sights are set on a 2023 walking trip along the Trans Bhutan Trail, a highly recommended destination. Additionally, a summer road trip through the Baltic nations of Latvia, Estonia, and Lithuania is on my adventure list.

In January, I’ll head to Mumbai to celebrate my cousin’s wedding. The trip will encompass three days filled with family festivities, accompanied by a delightful culinary journey. I’m also looking forward to some solo explorations of the city and potentially discovering regions nearby.

This year, I’ll embark on a New Jersey pilgrimage with my family to see Bruce Springsteen just outside Milan in July, spending five days at Lake Como before the show. Additionally, we might add another European country to our itinerary; the decision is still pending.

Romania is calling! I’ve never been and am excited about the fabulous night-train options from Vienna and Budapest. The newly appointed King Charles III also has a holiday rental in Transylvania, adding yet another reason to visit this captivating country.
