Chef's World Series a taste of Portugal at Wild by Tart

Port wine was created in the 17th century on the terraced slopes of the Douro Valley in northern Portugal. British merchants introduced brandy into their wine to fortify it for their journey home, resulting in a sweet, rich product that quickly gained popularity. While port wine is widely recognized, Portugal boasts a diverse array of wines, from the Douro region’s offerings to the aromatic whites and flavorful reds of Alentejo.

To celebrate this culinary richness, we have invited two distinguished chefs from these Portuguese regions to showcase their signature dishes in a supper club at the trendy restaurant Wild by Tart. Arnaldo Azevedo, from the newly Michelin-starred Vila Foz in Porto, and João Mourato from Quinta do Quetzal restaurant, located on Alentejo’s Vidigueira slopes near the oldest known Roman winery in Portugal, will be joining us. Each dish will be expertly paired with exquisite wines during a guided tasting, led by Wines of Portugal Wine Educator Sofia Salvador.

Tickets are available for £70 per person, which includes a carefully curated Portuguese-inspired tasting menu complemented by paired wines.

Please note that due to the nature of this event, the tasting menu will not be suitable for vegetarians or vegans.
