Can I travel to Singapore from the UK?
Yes, Singapore reopened its borders to a carefully vetted list of countries, including the UK, after 21 months of restrictions.
What are the travel restrictions for visiting Singapore?
Previously, visitors from abroad faced hotel quarantine at their own expense or, for some travelers from specific countries like Australia, isolation in a location of their choice. Fortunately, the latest guidelines now allow fully-vaccinated travelers from the UK to enter Singapore without a quarantine requirement. This change is part of Singapore’s Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) scheme, allowing passengers from participating countries to travel freely upon proving vaccination status.
As of April 26, regulations are progressively lifting, with travelers no longer needing a pre-departure test before flying to Singapore. On-arrival testing has also been waived since April 1.
Additionally, Singapore accepts the UK’s proof of Covid-19 recovery and vaccination record. Notably, please remember that the NHS appointment card from vaccination centers is not intended as proof and should not be used to demonstrate vaccination status.
Unvaccinated travelers may only enter Singapore under exceptional circumstances, primarily concerning Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents. Special permissions can be sought for compassionate reasons.
Do I need to take a PCR test to enter Singapore from the UK?
No. As of April 26, 2022, fully vaccinated travelers no longer need to take a pre-departure Covid test when entering Singapore.
Do I need to isolate when coming from Singapore to the UK?
All Covid travel rules in the UK were lifted as of March 18, 2022. Consequently, no travelers, regardless of their vaccination status, are required to test, quarantine, or complete any forms upon arrival in the UK.
