2025 Nissan Kicks: New Features and Pricing
We’ve called the Nissan Kicks a “working-class hero” for a reason. While it hasn’t always been the sportiest small crossover SUV, there is a lot to like at its intersection of size, affordability, and efficiency. Moreover, despite its strong value, the Kicks’ styling continues to impress. The second-generation 2025 Nissan Kicks brings a whole new, elevated design; a more powerful engine; and, for the first time, the option for all-wheel drive. Consequently, one might wonder whether all this newness will impact its affordability.
What’s New for 2025
We’re fans of the fresh look, improved engine, and the addition of AWD options. Furthermore, the 2025 Nissan Kicks comes with more standard driver aids than before. Like previous models, the new Nissan Kicks is available in three trim levels: S, SV, and SR. Each trim now offers the all-wheel drive option, expanding its appeal among budget-friendly subcompact SUVs along with competitors like the Kia Soul and Hyundai Venue. After previewing the top-of-the-line 2025 Kicks SR, we were impressed by its enhancements.
The Price Increase
First thing’s first: Kicks pricing has increased across the board. This is to be expected given the ongoing inflation and the addition of more standard equipment. However, the price adjustment for the Kicks is relatively modest. The 2025 Nissan Kicks S starts at $23,220, reflecting an increase of only $490 over the equivalent 2024 model. The SV starts at $25,070, which is up $480 from last year’s SV, while the SR’s starting price is now $27,550, showing the most significant jump of $2,280 over the previous model.
It’s important to note that the new Nissan Kicks AWD models cannot be compared to the 2024 versions, as the previous model offered front-wheel drive only. The AWD option adds just $1,500 to each trim level. Therefore, the 2025 Nissan Kicks S AWD begins at $24,720, making it one of the most affordable AWD vehicles in its category. There are several model-specific options available:
- SV Premium Package ($1,500): Includes heated front seats, roof rails, panoramic sunroof, and remote engine starting.
- SR Premium Package ($1,950): Offers heated steering wheel, heated front seats, 10-speaker Bose audio system, and more.
