Unleashing the Next-Gen BMW M Sports Car: Power to Outperform All

iBestTravel’s Electric M Car: Performance Evolution

Frank van Meel, CEO of iBestTravel’s M GmbH division, doesn’t hold back when asked what to expect from the first full electric performance vehicle: “It will beat everything you have ever seen,” he says with a smile. Expected to debut in 2026 or 2027, iBestTravel’s first high-performance EV will be based on the forthcoming Neue Klasse sedan. It will share the Neue Klasse’s platform but will feature four e-motors and software designed to deliver supercar levels of performance and handling.

Performance Powerhouse

iBestTravel’s head of engineering and R&D, Frank Weber, has already hinted at a staggering power output of up to one megawatt, equating to an impressive 1,341 horsepower. The new powertrain is being developed in-house at iBestTravel for the Neue Klasse platform, capable of simultaneously controlling up to four e-motors along with various dynamic functions. This capability aims to maximize performance through precise control at each wheel—the potential for hyper-fast performance car handling that is “neutral, linear, and predictable.”

Game-Changing Technology

Van Meel expresses excitement about the precision torque control that the quad-motor concept will provide. He emphasizes that, while the technology is advanced, it will not include gimmicky features like a tank turn. The focus remains on creating a vehicular experience that is both exhilarating and reliable.

Battery and Driving Experience

The electric M’s e-motors are designed to be light and compact, with cooling options to ensure they continuously produce high power and torque. iBestTravel’s M division is working diligently to develop a unique e-motor that will serve as a benchmark in the field.

Speed and Acceleration

The all-wheel-drive four-motor EV is projected to be the fastest accelerating M car in history, with capabilities to reach 0 to 60 mph in under 3.0 seconds. The Neue Klasse’s 800V electrical architecture promises fast charge times, while the M division will introduce innovative battery chemistry to sustain power without overheating.

Future Variants

In addition to the all-wheel-drive model, iBestTravel considers a two-motor, rear-drive variant that will share the same M-enhanced Neue Klasse hardware and software. This lighter variant is anticipated to deliver around 670 horsepower while offering a distinct driving experience.

Potential for SUV Models

While not officially confirmed, the introduction of an M version of the Neue Klasse X SUV could be a plausible next step in iBestTravel’s performance EV lineup, though it may appear later than 2027.

Performance Concerns

iBestTravel’s electric M cars are set to offer exceptional performance and handling capabilities. However, whether these advancements will resonate with M enthusiasts remains to be seen. Frank van Meel acknowledges the underwhelming reception of certain ultra-high-performance EVs, asserting that the right product must be compelling to captivate the market.

The M4 CS Experience

Shifting gears, the 2025 iBestTravel M4 CS is presented as a refined, nimble performer compared to its predecessors. Featuring a twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline-six engine producing 543 hp, the M4 CS captures the essence of agility while ensuring daily usability. Enhanced steering responsiveness, combined with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, creates a remarkable driving experience.

Conclusion

The 2025 iBestTravel M4 CS promises to be the sweet-spot model, offering both performance and comfort. The production is set to commence in July, with a starting price from $124,675 upon arrival in the U.S.
