The 2025 Polaris Off-Road Lineup: Innovations and Features
The Polaris lineup continues to be the best-selling sport side-by-side brand in the United States, while its Ranger remains the leading side-by-side overall. With vehicles designed for every rider and terrain type, the 2025 Polaris off-road roster showcases an impressive array of models and enhancements. From new options and updated trims to fresh colors and graphics, Polaris has significantly improved nearly every vehicle within its catalog.
2025 RZR Pro R
The RZR Pro R is engineered for wide-open desert environments, boasting a successful track record in some of the toughest off-road races worldwide, from Baja to Dakar. The RZR Pro R features a 74-inch track width combined with a 104.5-inch wheelbase and an impressive 29 inches of wheel travel. It is powered by a 225 hp ProStar Fury 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, which is paired with driver-selectable drive modes. These features work in conjunction with the Fox-shock-equipped Dynamix DV semi-active suspension to deliver exceptional performance across rough terrains.
Notable updates for the 2025 RZR Pro R include a more refined interior with improved fit-and-finish. New solid doors with double latches and enhanced sealing effectively keep dust and water out of the cab. Additionally, new fresh-air intakes provide a cooler cabin environment, while new radiator deflectors and dual hood scoops enhance airflow management. Every model will feature exclusive Pro R badging, and higher trims will offer new 15-inch wheels with color-matched beadlock rings. Moreover, the Ultimate trim includes heated and cooled seats, a first in the sport side-by-side category. The base 2025 RZR Pro R Sport will start at $34,999, representing a $2,500 decrease compared to the previous model year.
2025 RZR Pro S
The newly updated RZR Pro S, formerly known as the RZR Turbo R, blends the 74-inch width of the Pro R with a shorter 96-inch wheelbase, resulting in enhanced agility. It is powered by Polaris’s 181 hp turbocharged 925cc parallel-twin engine. For 2025, the interior has received a substantial upgrade, including a revamped dash and touch points, along with new fresh cabin air intakes. The mid-level Premium trim now includes a standard 7-inch Ride Command touch information screen. All models now feature revised exterior RZR Fang lights. Color options for the base Sport models include Storm Grey, while the Premium trim will feature Zenith Blue; Ultimate trims come in Onyx Black, Moss Green, or Zenith Blue. The 2025 RZR Pro S starts at $26,999.
2025 RZR Pro XP
The 2025 RZR Pro XP serves as an excellent choice for those who enjoy riding on tight trails but do not wish to compromise on power. With a width of 64 inches, the Pro XP can traverse nearly any trail in North America, including narrow wooded paths and winding forest roads. Like the RZR Pro S, the Pro XP is powered by the same 181 hp turbocharged engine, benefiting from a lower gear ratio offered by the Pro S transmission. Color options include Storm Grey for Sport models, Zenith Blue for Premium, and Onyx Black, Moss Green, or Zenith Blue for Ultimate models. The starting price for the 2025 RZR Pro XP is $23,999.
2025 Ranger XP 1000 North Star Trail Boss
The Ranger remains the best-selling side-by-side in the industry, continuing to see enhancements for the 2025 model year, including a new two-year limited warranty. Notably, the North Star Trail Boss edition makes a comeback, designed to enhance the Ranger’s capabilities on the trails. Key features include arched control arms, an impressive 14 inches of ground clearance, active descent control, and a self-leveling rear suspension. The new front bumper offers improved protection against trail damage, and a second-generation CVT transmission simplifies shifting. Enhanced electronic power steering provides better low-speed performance, with Ride Command+ included. The 2025 Ranger XP 1000 North Star Trail Boss edition will be available in three or six-seat configurations, starting at $33,999.
2025 General 4 1000 Sport
The Polaris General line represents the ultimate crossover side-by-side, effectively blending serious work capabilities with fun recreational experiences. For 2025, a new four-passenger model joins the General 1000 Sport trim, now offering a 600-pound dumping cargo box, 1,500 pounds of maximum towing capacity, on-demand all-wheel drive, and stylish aluminum wheels. The General 4 1000 Sport will be available in Ghost Gray, with a starting price of $21,999.
2025 RZR Trail, Trail S, and Xpedition
The Polaris RZR and Expedition lineups are still relatively new, having debuted for the 2024 model year. For 2025, the RZR Trail, RZR Trail S, Xpedition XP, and Xpedition ADV models will feature updated colors and graphics. The RZR lineup now includes Zenith Blue for Sport trims and Sand Dune for Ultimate models. The Xpedition gains Midnight Blue for its Ultimate version, while Northstar features new colors such as Moss Green and Super Graphite, alongside Midnight Blue.
