Experience the Pagani Huayra R Racing Simulator
If someone can afford to spend $3.5 million for a Pagani Huayra hypercar, chances are that this incredibly expensive racing simulator would be pocket change to them. How much is it? It’s an “if you have to ask you probably can’t afford it” kind of thing. We estimate it’s in the six-figure range.
Inspired Design and Collaboration
The Pagani Huayra R racing simulator is inspired by the vehicle of the same name. One glance at the carbon fiber sculpted rig will tell you as much. Pagani teamed up with Racing Unleashed, a high-end racing sim manufacturer, to produce the Huayra R simulator. According to Pagani (via The Drive), the simulator was originally meant exclusively for Huayra owners, but the hypercar maker decided to open up orders to anyone who has the cash to order the simulator through Pagani’s dealer network.
High-Performance Features
The seat, steering wheel, and pedals are the exact same units found in an actual Pagani Huayra. All of those components are wrapped in what can only be described as a cocoon of green carbon fiber. Somewhere inside of the simulator lives a “high-performance” gaming computer running Assetto Corsa Pro, which is the de facto racing game for many racing simulators.
Immersive Audio and Visual Experience
A group of “pods” surround the pilot, some of which are occupied by speakers for the 5.1 audio system. Some of the pods are meant for cameras or sensors for a VR headset. If you’re not a fan of VR, gameplay is displayed on a massive, curved screen. For an added touch of realism, the simulator is equipped with three-axis motion functionality so the user can feel acceleration, braking, and turning.
Pricing and Customization
Pagani hasn’t disclosed the price of the Huayra R simulator, but it’s safe to say that it’s probably well into the six figures. We reckon most of that price is for the yards of carbon fiber and custom design work it takes to build one of these rigs. The good news is you could build a rig that’s just as capable for much less money. The bad news is it probably won’t look like this.
