Carlos Zarlenga Appointed COO of Stellantis North America
Stellantis, the automaker behind brands like Jeep, Dodge, Chrysler, Alfa Romeo, and Fiat in the U.S., has announced a significant leadership change. Effective February 1, Carlos Zarlenga will step in as the new Chief Operating Officer of Stellantis North America, taking over from Mark Stewart.

This announcement comes just before Stewart was slated to speak at an automotive symposium organized by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. Stewart is known for his engaging approach and stylish presence in the automotive industry.
Carlos Zarlenga’s Background
Prior to this role, Zarlenga served as the president of Stellantis Mexico, where he achieved record sales, increased market share, and optimal return on investment in 2023. Furthermore, Zarlenga ended his tenure in Mexico with the highest profit levels recorded in that market.

Stewart’s Next Chapter
Mark Stewart, who became COO of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles North America in 2018 and held the position for three years at Stellantis North America, is moving on to become the CEO and president of Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. Tavares expressed gratitude for Stewart’s contributions and wished him well in his new role.
