2021 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy: A New Standard in Luxury SUVs
More luxury is in store for Hyundai’s well-packaged three-row Palisade SUV. Say hello to the 2021 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy, which arrives in dealerships this month with a host of upscale features, including a unique grille and special leather appointments.
The Calligraphy model slots into the Palisade family above the previously range-topping Limited, making it now the top trim level available. It stands out with unique 20-inch alloy wheels and an exclusive triangle-pattern grille. The doors feature a special garnish, as do the rear lights—Hyundai gives the Calligraphy a new rear lighting signature with an ultra-wide LED center high-mount stoplight. Moreover, there are exclusive puddle lamps for the doors, adding to its upscale feel.
Open the doors, and you’ll see quilted-leather door panels, a microfiber suede headliner, a perforated leather steering wheel, and a fancy cargo sill protection plate that seem more at home in something from Hyundai’s Genesis luxury brand than a mainstream three-row SUV. These exclusive Calligraphy features mix with all the luxuries from the Limited model, which include Nappa leather upholstery, heating and ventilated seats, a 10.25-inch touchscreen with navigation, and a 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster.
Under the hood, the 2021 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy features a familiar 3.8-liter V-6 engine with 291 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. Unlike other trims, Calligraphy comes standard with all-wheel drive, enhancing its performance and handling on various terrains.
2021 Hyundai Palisade Features and Upgrades
In addition to the new trim level, Hyundai has implemented several changes to the Palisade for the 2021 model year. Mostly, these changes aim to provide greater feature availability across the lineup. Wireless smartphone connectivity, HD radio, and multiple device connection capabilities have been added to SE models and above for vehicles without navigation.
Furthermore, LED headlamps are now standard, and SEL models and above now include a sunroof and LED map-interior lights. Finally, many of the features from last year’s Drive Guidance package have been integrated into the Premium package, which also gets a new headliner for added elegance.
2021 Hyundai Palisade Pricing
Base Palisade SE models will start at $33,665. For the SEL trim, you can expect to pay at least $36,315. Limited models run from $46,265, while Calligraphy models top the lineup at $48,890.
