The Kia Sonet is a new tiny crossover that has been introduced primarily for the Indian market, with the potential for availability in other global markets in the future. While it remains uncertain if it will make its way to the United States, it’s noteworthy that Kia already has a robust small SUV lineup in the region. The Sonet’s dimensions are comparable to Hyundai’s Venue, which is sold in America, indicating it may overlap somewhat with the Kia Soul and the recently introduced Seltos.
What Is the Kia Sonet?
The Sonet is classified as a sub-subcompact SUV, characterized by its attractive design that combines elements of the Sportage and the Seltos. It is notably compact with a unique silhouette, featuring small wheels and a bubbly roof, appealing to those who appreciate the charm of smaller vehicles. The design catches the eye with details such as the body-color strip located behind the rear doors that contrasts the black roof, along with deeply sculpted body sides. Although lower trim levels come with body-color roofs, the design elements are thoughtfully defined, enhancing the overall appeal of the Sonet.
