Travel Regulations in Poland for Vaccinated Travelers
Travelers who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 are exempt from mandatory quarantine in Poland, provided they come from the countries that are currently permitted entry.
Current Admission Guidelines
Admission to Poland is currently restricted to citizens or legal residents of European Union countries, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland, Georgia, Japan, Canada, New Zealand, Thailand, South Korea, Tunisia, and Australia, along with their spouses and children. While the law requires a 10-day home quarantine, this condition was recently waived for passengers who present a negative COVID-19 test upon arrival, taken within 48 hours prior to their entry. The guidelines have now been updated to also exempt vaccinated travelers.
Understanding the Current Restrictions
Restrictions in Poland have eased for its approximately 40 million residents. The nation has allowed ski slopes to reopen for a trial period of two weeks. Additionally, museums, art galleries, and shopping centers resumed operations on 1 February. Cinemas, theaters, opera houses, and hotels have also been granted permission to open, although capacity is currently capped at 50%. However, restaurants are limited to serving take-away food, and it remains mandatory to wear masks and adhere to social distancing guidelines.
Outdoor Activities and Attractions
Travelers will discover that much of Poland feels remote and unspoiled, particularly outside the major cities. While large areas of the country are flat, the southern border is adorned with a chain of picturesque mountains. Well-marked hiking paths traverse Poland, leading through dense forests, along broad rivers, and over mountain passes. The northeast region is especially notable for its interconnected lakes and waterways, offering excellent opportunities for kayaking and canoeing.
