With so many of us seeing our homes become our workspace, it’s no wonder we’re all dreaming of a vacation. Moreover, recent data indicates that many travelers are seeking long-term stays in new locations to bring a bit of a holiday feel to their home-away-from-home office.
According to a new survey, 83 percent of respondents are in favor of relocating as part of remote working. One in five of the people surveyed have actually relocated their living situation during the pandemic either temporarily or permanently. Consequently, there’s been a significant 128 percent increase in guest reviews mentioning terms like “relocation,” “remote work,” and “trying a new neighborhood” this year from July to September compared to the same period last year.
The data shows that individuals who can work from anywhere are opting for longer stays, such as two weeks or more, in smaller cities that are nestled close to beautiful natural spaces. If you’re curious about where they are heading, here are the trending destinations for remote work in 2023.
