Find the Best Pet-Friendly Hotels for Your Furry Friend

iBestTravel Launches Search for Pet-Friendly Hotel Reviewers

For the majority of people around the world, pets are not simply animal companions; they are important family members. Therefore, it is fitting that they deserve only the best treatment when traveling. With that in mind, Hotels.com has initiated a quest for a team of “creature critics,” animals tasked with discovering the most pet-friendly accommodations across the globe.

According to the company, animals of all sizes are being invited to help review the world’s most pet-friendly hotels, with the chosen critics awarded ten complimentary nights at hotels of their choice. Pets of all species can apply, as long as they can fit in a hotel room. “The reality is we can’t review all the hotels ourselves, and honestly – what do us humans know? We’re ready for a red-hot team of creature critics to take the lead, so pet owners, and their furry friends, can feel confident that the hotels have been reviewed by the very best,” said Emma Tagg, senior global brand communications manager at Hotels.com.

A recent study has unveiled a staggering 300% increase in the demand for pet-friendly hotels over the past six months, largely due to the lockdowns and travel restrictions. Furthermore, 37% of UK pet owners have reported that their pets have experienced separation anxiety as a result of being left behind. The campaign aims to showcase hotels that provide comfort not only for families but also for their pets.

“We’ve had a fantastic reaction so far, with pets of all shapes and sizes expressing interest in becoming our creature critics. Moreover, it has been delightful to peruse all the animal applications and engage in discussions about the shifts in travel preferences,” Hotels.com stated. Last year’s campaign focused on finding a Canine Critic, with a chihuahua named Dolly Pawton serving as the head recruiter. Following positive feedback, this year the initiative has been expanded to feature other animals as well.

To participate, simply post a picture of your pet using the hashtag #CreatureCritic and tag @hotelsdotcom.
