Approximately three hours into the flight, passengers can expect to witness the breathtaking sea ice and icebergs of Antarctica. During the journey, passengers will be treated to two full meals, various snacks, and complimentary bar service, alongside informative movies about Antarctica.
These scenic flights have been in operation for 26 years, and every passenger, except those in Explorer Economy Class, is given two boarding passes. At the halfway mark of the journey, an announcement prompts passengers to switch to the seat indicated on their second boarding pass. This arrangement ensures that everyone has a chance to enjoy a window seat or one nearby. The airline emphasizes that while flying over Antarctica, most passengers are encouraged to move around the cabin, thereby enhancing viewing opportunities for all.
The aircraft performs long sweeping ‘figure 8s’ over various points of interest, allowing passengers to view striking sights from both sides of the cabin. Flight operators assure that additional health and safety measures are now in place, in response to the ongoing concerns surrounding the pandemic.
