Experience Exquisite Dining at a Scenic Restaurant in a Swedish Nature Reserve

Experience Unique Dining at Nowhere in Sweden

As some countries begin to ease lockdown measures, one spot in Sweden is providing restaurant-goers with a chance to dine safely in a unique setting, nestled amidst the natural world and surrounded by calming scenery. Nowhere, a new restaurant experience, allows guests to dine on a raft, in a meadow, and in a wooded grove.

Taking social distancing to another level, Nowhere aims to serve guests, as the name suggests, in the middle of nowhere. Created by Oddbird, a winery that specializes in producing non-alcoholic wine, the restaurant is located in Häringe Nature Reserve just outside Stockholm. This one-of-a-kind experience sees six tables scattered around in particularly beautiful locations, free from any contact with other guests. Guests can enjoy their meals in the heart of a forest, in an open field, or on a raft by the water.

All six dining spots at Nowhere are individually designed by the Danish interior design duo The Norrmans, utilizing recycled furniture and materials. The menu is crafted by talented chefs Linn Söderström and Marion Ringborg, known for their expertise at restaurant Garba in Stockholm. Guests can also enjoy Oddbird’s own wines paired with their meals for a truly unique experience.

“We have always been on the run, for new experiences, new places, and new things. However, the corona crisis this spring forced us to a halt. With no place to go, no traveling, and no social dining, we had to stop and rethink the idea of pleasure – and found those places that were right in front of us – the places we used to call nowhere,” a representative of Oddbird shared. Consequently, the winery aims to create an opportunity for guests to reflect and find joy in the simple things.

In April, Rasmus Persson and Linda Karlsson unveiled Bord for En, another innovative dining experience, where guests are served one at a time in a meadow. The food is delivered in a picnic basket that is tied to a rope and brought to the guest from the restaurant’s kitchen window with the aid of a bicycle wheel.

The response to this unique dining experience has been overwhelming, with tables booking up just two minutes after the release of reservations. Experiences at Nowhere are taking place from August onward. For more information, visit the official Oddbird website.
