Travel Experiences Surpass Destinations in Popularity

With so many incredible destinations around the world, it can be hard to choose the perfect place for your next holiday. However, it’s essential to note that nearly two-thirds of travelers believe that the experience is more important than the destination itself.

According to recent research from iBestTravel, which surveyed over 7,500 members of its global travel community, the emphasis on experiences over destinations is clearer than ever. The survey also revealed that 95% of travelers see travel as an ‘opportunity for positive change’ in their lives and also for the locales they visit. Notably, 59% of respondents view travel as a means for personal growth more than they did previously, a figure that rises to 70% for those under the age of 35.

Moreover, environmental considerations have become a significant factor for many travelers. Approximately 68% of participants stated that they are now more concerned about sustainable travel than in the past. However, only 35.2% have actively incorporated environmental sustainability into their travel planning. On that note, there are several effective strategies people are using, such as avoiding harmful activities involving animals, offsetting their carbon footprint, and choosing eco-friendly accommodations.

In conclusion, if you’re looking to plan travel experiences that will leave a lasting impact, consider focusing on personal growth and sustainability in your travels. Exploring new cultures and engaging in responsible tourism practices can significantly enhance your journey.
