Diageo Reserve has bestowed the status of World Cocktail Capital to Cape Town. This accolade highlights the city as a premier destination for cocktail enthusiasts and travelers alike.

This remarkable recognition follows Cape Town’s previous honor as the World Design Capital in 2014. The announcement coincides with South Africa’s preparation to host the World Class Bartender of the Year competition from 31 August to 4 September. This prestigious mixology event will bring together the planet’s best 55 bartenders from 50 countries, all competing for the esteemed title of world’s best bartender. The grand finale will take place in the vibrant heart of Cape Town, where innovation meets tradition in cocktail crafting.
