The last surviving WW1 warship is being converted into a Belfast museum. HMS Caroline fought in the Battle of Jutland, off the coast of Denmark, and was one of the fastest warships of its time. It was utilized as a training vessel by the Royal Navy before its decommissioning in 2011. Remarkably, around 80% of the ship remains original, including the only surviving WW1 turbines in the world. Consequently, the Caroline will be transformed into a captivating visitor attraction in the city’s Titanic Quarter, just in time for the centenary of the Battle of Jutland in 2016.
