Bushfire Threatens Lives and Properties Near Adelaide
A major bushfire is burning about 60 kilometres north of Adelaide in South Australia, posing a serious threat to homes and lives.
Unfortunately, properties have already been lost, and one man has been hospitalized with severe burns. The dry conditions, coupled with high wind speeds, have significantly hampered the efforts of largely volunteer firefighters attempting to control the blaze. Consequently, power outages have caused traffic chaos, and drinking water is in limited supply due to damage to the local area’s main storage tank.
Meanwhile, another blaze in Lameroo, located in the Murray Mallee near the border with Victoria, has been successfully contained. Additionally, a fire in the Clare Valley has also been brought under control after it previously threatened the town of Mintaro.
