Explore Unique Outdoor Lodging Options in the American West

When the focus of your trip is the great outdoors, you don’t need to stay in a bare-bones hostel to connect with like-minded travelers.

Adventure Lodges and Camps

Hipster hostel/hotel adventure lodges are springing up in mountain towns and at surf breaks across the American West. Many of these establishments offer equipment demos, guided tours, live music, and breathtaking scenery. Whether you’re traveling solo, with a partner, in a group, or even with your dog, these motels, lodges, and upscale hostels connect you with fellow adventurers. Moreover, when the weather doesn’t cooperate, they provide a cozy spot to wait it out.

Founded by two Seattle-based surfers, LOGE Camps offer an immersive base for adventure weekends while fostering connections among outdoor enthusiasts. They have transformed dilapidated mid-century motels into modern micro-resorts equipped with amenities catering to an active clientele.

To date, five camps have opened since 2017, primarily located in popular hubs such as Bend, Oregon, Mt. Shasta, California, and Breckenridge, Colorado. Furthermore, the camps are positioned in towns set for revitalization like Estes Park, Colorado and Westport, Washington. On-site demo centers provide guests access to high-end mountain bikes and other gear, and each property features sport-specific amenities like ski lockers and wetsuit rentals.

Consequently, LOGE Camps also contribute 1% of their revenue to local non-profits dedicated to outdoor conservation.
