To showcase just how broad the capabilities of “the world’s most popular camera,” Apple decided to start off the year with a Shot on iPhone Challenge.

The California-based company invited iPhone users to send over the photographs they had taken on their devices. Consequently, ten winning photos were selected, coming from everywhere in the world, including Singapore to Belarus.

These remarkable images portray colorful urban spaces, curious animals, unique reflections, and the beauty of ordinary things. Moreover, Apple described these stunning captures in a statement. The ten photos were selected by a panel of eleven jurors, including Pete Souza, who was President Obama’s official photographer. Therefore, the winning images will be featured in Apple ads and stores around the world for the next year.
