Properties were categorized as either city or resort based on their locations and amenities.

Winning Hotels Across the Region

This year’s list spans 12 countries and territories, including St. Bart’s, Aruba, the Bahamas, Bermuda, and Anguilla. However, it was St. Lucia that claimed the most winning hotels—five in total—featuring iconic destinations like Jade Mountain, Anse Chastanet Resort, and Ladera Resort. “Most romantic hotel ever,” commented a reader about Ladera, which boasts breathtaking views of the Pitons from its open-air suites. “The rooms are an experience out of this world, and cannot be described in words or photos.”

Both Jade Mountain and Anse Chastanet Resort received glowing reviews for their open-air accommodations, with Jade specifically highlighted for its exceptional service, private beach, and exquisite views. “The service, private beach, and views were incredible,” a honeymooner remarked, expressing hope to return for their 10th anniversary.

Recent Challenges and Continued Praise

It’s important to note that two properties, Eden Rock and Malliouhana, of the Auberge Resorts Collection, are currently closed due to last year’s devastating hurricanes. Expected to reopen this winter, they remain a beloved choice among fans. “My heart aches for Eden Rock given the last hurricane season,” one visitor lamented. “But our babymoon spent on their beaches was a vacation we will not soon forget.”

Anguilla’s Zemi Beach House and Four Seasons Resort & Residences also faced temporary closures but reopened this spring. “Beautiful, modern rooms,” one fan remarked. “Snorkeling was amazing!” Jamaica fared well this year too, boasting four properties on the list. The affordable Rockhouse attracts couples to the cliffs of Negril, while Round Hill caters to families in Montego Bay with its spacious villas and welcoming staff. “Round Hill is pure peace, and the people working there are the absolute best,” said an impressed visitor. The top property is in Anguilla, which conveniently was also voted the top island in the region overall.
