Saying 2020 was rough may be the understatement of the year, but 2021 has already given us so much to look forward to: the summer Olympics, the reopening of movie theaters, and an overall slow return to normalcy. Actress and musician Ashley Tisdale is teaming up with CheapTickets to enhance 2021’s travel opportunities, especially for individuals in their 20s who are eager to explore. As part of a new contest, one lucky winner will receive $5,000 a year until they turn 30 to travel the world.

Tisdale brings her extensive travel experience to the conversation. If you follow the Carol’s Second Act star on Instagram, you’ll discover her insights on travel destinations—from girls trips in Mexico to European getaways. During the pandemic, she has not only released a new single but also renovated several homes, launched her interior design company Frenshe Interiors, served as a judge on Fox’s The Masked Dancer, and expanded her lifestyle and wellness blog, Frenshe. Additionally, she announced in September that she’s expecting her first child with husband Christopher French.

Why Traveling in Your 20s is Crucial

Ashley Tisdale: “Oh man, some of my favorite memories are of traveling in my 20s. I was really lucky to visit incredible places like Mallorca and across Europe, even while working. In your 30s, life tends to settle in and work becomes a higher priority. Your 20s are filled with opportunities for fun and adventure. The amazing trips I took with my friends are experiences I cherish and often reflect on as some of the best times of my life!”

Memorable Travel Experiences

What is your most memorable trip in your 20s?

“One of my favorite places is Cabo, where I traveled with my friends Vanessa and Shelley. This trip followed a difficult breakup, and it was the ultimate girls’ getaway. We engaged in so many activities, such as horseback riding on the beach and swimming with dolphins. I truly grew from this experience, especially during a challenging time in my life. I will always regard it as one of the best vacations with my friends.”

Traveling for Work

Did your work allow you to travel in ways you might not have had the chance to otherwise?

“I usually gravitate towards beach destinations because I love the water. However, work has taken me to Italy, London, France, and Germany multiple times. Although I may not have chosen to vacation in Germany, working there has been enlightening, and I’ve learned so much about the country.”

CheapTickets Giveaway

Can you elaborate on the CheapTickets “Travel in Your 20s” giveaway?

“Essentially, by entering, you could win up to $5,000 a year for travel until you’re 30. Depending on your age, that could amount to $50,000 in travel funds. Discussing this opportunity with CheapTickets was a no-brainer for me. Given the past year, when travel was limited, I believe it’s critical to explore whenever possible. I’m thrilled to support this initiative since traveling fosters personal growth and strengthens connections with friends and other travelers.”
