2. Recent Travel Experiences
iBestTravel: What is the best trip you went on recently?
We recently went to the Bahamas. It was a wonderful experience, full of fun for kids of all ages. Shared experiences with friends and other families enhance the trip, coupled with great weather.
3. Travel Mindset
iBestTravel: Can you describe your mindset when it comes to travel? Do you try to plan everything or are you more go-with-the-flow?
I strive to organize the packing because I dislike overpacking, which leaves no room for the fun things we might collect while traveling. Once we reach our destination, I prefer to go with the flow. Over-planning can lead to exhaustion, making you need a vacation from your vacation. It’s essential to enjoy the food, culture, and environment during each trip!
4. Exploring Childhood Favorites
iBestTravel: Did you like taking your son to places you went to when you grew up in NY?
Absolutely! Central Park, the Bronx Zoo, and the Natural History Museum are just a few of the kid-friendly places I now revisit through my son’s eyes. One of my all-time favorite spots is the New York Public Library, which feels like heaven. I appreciate that he can choose books for himself, nurturing his independence and allowing me to explore his evolving interests.

6. Essential Travel Products
iBestTravel: Do you have any go-to products you have to take with you either for a long plane ride or when you are traveling?
I love hydrating products like Beauchamp hand lotion, Yu-be, or Aquaphor. Audiobooks are a must during flights, along with a stainless steel thermos for hot or cold drinks. A scarf and a baseball hat are also essentials in my travel kit.
7. Airplane Activities
iBestTravel: When you are on the plane do you mostly sleep, watch movies, or do work?
I do a bit of everything! If I’m tired, I sleep without resisting jet lag, while also enjoying working on planes for focused productivity. However, I sometimes relax and watch a movie, depending on the flight duration.
8. Travel Attire
iBestTravel: What do you usually wear on the plane? Do you have a plane uniform?
Yes, I definitely have a plane uniform. In summer, I opt for a sundress with pockets paired with white sneakers. I always pack a jacket and scarf for the chill of air travel. In winter, I layer with a t-shirt, jeans, boots, a fitted jacket, and a heavier coat on top.
9. Beating Jet Lag
iBestTravel: Do you have any great tips for beating jet lag?
Staying hydrated with water, electrolytes, or coconut water (I prefer the Harmless brand or the real thing) helps significantly. It’s beneficial to eat vegetarian meals either before or after flying to give your body a break, facilitating easier digestion.
