  3. His focus on food during travels and restaurant ventures.

The Jonas Brothers member Nick Jonas has traveled for over a decade as a pop star alongside his two brothers. However, now, as a dad to an 11-month-old baby, hitting the road isn’t quite the same.

“Travel is definitely different now,” he told iBestTravel recently of setting out for a trip with his daughter Malti, who he shares with wife Priyanka Chopra. “It’s pretty funny just the amount of stuff you need. Moreover, seeing places you’ve visited a million times through different eyes is really special. It has been an amazing experience for us.”

Fortunately, Jonas and Chopra, who have been married since 2018, have some non-work trips ahead that will allow the singer to enjoy his travels. Specifically, Jonas eagerly anticipates an upcoming trip to Dublin for a wedding.

“I love that city, and any time I’ve been, it’s always been quick; this occasion will be too, but it’s always been for work. This one will be a celebration with friends,” he remarked. “It will be really nice.”

When planning vacations, meals are Jonas’s main focus. In general, when not performing, he prefers to wander and explore, especially in new cities.

“You just walk around and stumble into a place for coffee or a drink,” he said. “On a trip a couple of years ago, I wanted to experience Europe as a tourist instead of only performing there, which was special.”

Delicious meals are a travel essential for him; however, they are also part of a business endeavor. Recently, he partnered with John Varvatos to launch their Villa One Tequila brand at the Villa One Tequila Gardens in San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter.

“Villa One Tequila was created from a dream to establish a tequila brand that embodies the culture of shared drinks with good friends and great food,” he explained. “We thought about this concept of turning that idea into a tangible restaurant bar experience, where people could come to relax, enjoy a great cocktail, and do it in an elevated way.”

Following the San Diego launch, Villa One Tequila Gardens is set to expand across the U.S. with openings in Los Angeles, Miami, Las Vegas, and New York City in 2023.

The Jonas family is familiar with the restaurant business, thanks to the recently opened Nellie’s Southern Kitchen in Las Vegas, their southern cooking eatery originating from North Carolina.
