Farmhouse is a new, modern retreat in Paso Robles.
California’s Central Coast is the quintessential weekend escape, boasting hundreds of wineries, trendy boutique hotels, hiking trails, and picturesque rolling hills. Moreover, the area’s boutique hospitality scene is expanding with another remarkable addition by Nomada Hotel Group.
Nestled in quaint Paso Robles, Farmhouse is an eclectic bed-and-breakfast featuring 26 guest rooms and a courtyard that welcomes guests with cozy fire pits, set to open on May 9. The Central California company has transformed the historic motel, which dates back to 1947, into a chic, modern retreat with high-end touches, custom furnishings, and expansive outdoor spaces amid citrus and olive trees.
The bright and airy cottages feature vaulted ceilings with exposed wood beams, king-size beds, handwoven Moroccan rugs, and a myriad of modern amenities. Guests can enjoy Italian bedding, plush Matouk bathrobes, TVs, Bluetooth speakers, and bar carts stocked with local snacks, wine, spirits, and cocktail tools. The Instagram-worthy bathrooms feature walk-in showers adorned with bold, mosaic-style tiles and exclusive Yuzu & Heirloom bath products. Additionally, a communal porch with seating allows guests to relax and soak up the sun and delightful views.
At the heart of the hotel lies a beautifully landscaped courtyard, dubbed the “Secret Garden,” where fire pits and fountains entice visitors to unwind. Complimentary Linus bikes are available for those looking to explore the charming town on two wheels.
“The redesign was inspired by the layout of the cottages—a space you rarely find in a downtown hotel. We aimed to bring freshness and vibrancy to the property by activating the grounds with communal gardens throughout and extending that ambiance to the interior,” said Kimberly Walker, founder and managing partner of Nomada Hotel Group.
While the hotel does not feature an on-site restaurant, travelers can indulge in a daily continental breakfast served in the cozy main house living room. A small marketplace located in the lobby also offers local products and snacks.
This property is the sixth addition to Nomada Hotel Group’s growing portfolio of renovated boutique hotels. Earlier this year, the company launched Nomada at Sea, a catamaran available for private charters in the British Virgin Islands.
Nightly rates at Farmhouse begin at $219, with a $20 daily amenity fee. For additional details, please visit farmhousepaso.com.
