How Does Set Jet Work?
Set Jet operates a fleet of five Bombardier Challenger 850 aircraft, which are always on standby whenever a member needs them. Members can utilize Set Jet’s app to reserve a flight between any two destinations included in their membership plan, given they do so 24 hours in advance for domestic flights and a week for international journeys. Other members have the opportunity to secure seats on that flight up to 30 minutes before takeoff. If no other member books, you truly enjoy a private jet experience! Set Jet distinguishes between “booking a flight,” indicating that you initiated the journey, and “buying a seat,” implying that you are joining another member’s flight.
Moreover, like many private jet services, Set Jet typically uses private terminals, allowing members to bypass the TSA security lines. Consequently, you could arrive as little as 20 minutes before your flight.
Where Does Set Jet Fly?
Set Jet currently offers flights to seven destinations, with additional locations expected soon. The existing destinations include:
- Los Angeles (including LAX, Van Nuys, and Burbank)
- Orange County, California
- San Diego
- Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
- Scottsdale, Arizona
- Las Vegas
- Salt Lake City
Expanding its reach, Set Jet plans to add the following destinations shortly:
- New York
- Miami
- West Palm Beach, Florida
- Austin, Texas
- Dallas
- Houston
- Aspen, Colorado
Standard Set Jet members will have access only to destinations in California, Mexico, Nevada, Colorado, Utah, and Texas, whereas members upgrading to an Elite Membership will enjoy access to New York, Miami, and West Palm Beach.
How Much Does a Set Jet Membership Cost?
A standard Set Jet membership is priced at $99.95 per month, with no long-term commitment required, allowing members to cancel anytime. Alternatively, an elite membership is available for $999.95 per month and necessitates a 12-month commitment. Note that the membership fee excludes a one-time $99.95 fee for a security check and does not cover the cost of a flight seat.
How Much Do Set Jet Flights Cost?
The cost for flights begins at $750 for one-way regional journeys, escalating to $1,330 for flights to Cabo San Lucas. It is essential to understand that booking a seat on a flight does not guarantee a specific seat on the plane as seating follows a first-come, first-served policy.
Is There a Dress Code on Set Jet?
Indeed, passengers must follow a specified dress code while flying with Set Jet. Prohibited items include collarless t-shirts, athleisure, cropped tops, flip-flops, and short miniskirts. For complete guidance regarding the dress code, members can refer to Set Jet’s FAQ section.
Can Pets Fly on Set Jet?
Pets are welcome on Set Jet flights, specifically dogs, cats, and birds. Other animals may be accommodated on an individual basis. For pets weighing 20 pounds or less, there are no additional fees; however, a charge of $250 applies for pets weighing 21 to 60 pounds, and $350 for pets over 61 pounds.
How Many Bags Can You Bring on Set Jet?
Passengers are allowed one checked bag with a maximum weight of 50 pounds, alongside one personal item weighing up to 20 pounds. Additional luggage may be accommodated depending on prior notice from the passenger. Fees for excess or overweight baggage are set at $50 for domestic flights and $100 for international routes.
