Gas up the rig and pop Louisiana into the GPS because it’s time to visit Camp Margaritaville RV Resort Breaux Bridge.

Last winter, Camp Margaritaville announced it was transitioning the Cajun Palms RV Resort into Camp Margaritaville RV Resort Breaux Bridge. The resort reopened as a Margaritaville property on May 23. Situated in Henderson, Louisiana, it is about 40 minutes from Baton Rouge and two hours from New Orleans.

A spokesperson for the resort stated it will “fully embrace Camp Margaritaville’s signature experiences.” However, visitors who enjoyed the old Cajun Palms location need not worry, as the brand intends to preserve beloved aspects of the previous resort.

“Watching Cajun Palms grow from the ground up many years ago to now transforming into such a recognizable brand is an honor,” Amanda Stelly, the general manager of Cajun Palms RV Resort, shared in a statement. “The entire team is ready to welcome the Margaritaville state of mind and travelers from near and far to this little piece of Louisiana paradise.”

The RV resort invites guests to pull up and unplug. Families can enjoy any of the resort’s three pools, each complete with private cabanas, and one even features a swim-up bar. Additionally, an adults-only hot tub is available for guests 21 and older.

Moreover, the resort caters to family-friendly activities with a water park for children, cornhole games, minigolf, and a playground set to open in June. Arts and crafts sessions, such as sand art, tie-dye, and ceramics, will also be offered.

The resort will feature 452 RV sites, including covered options for weather-conscious travelers. For group travelers, buddy sites allow two RVs to set up together. Campers can expect essential amenities such as water and sewer hookups, electricity, and Wi-Fi.

Additionally, renovations include the introduction of 25 new glamping cabins that accommodate between four to twelve guests. The Jimmy Buffett Suite, for instance, sleeps twelve and includes a covered patio with Adirondack chairs and a BBQ pit. The Latitude Loft cabin, accommodating eight, also boasts a covered patio and a loft space.

For those who maintain an active lifestyle, the upgrades will feature several sports courts, allowing guests to keep up with their pickleball, basketball, and volleyball games.

New dining and drinking options are also part of the renovation, featuring the La De Dah Bar, a swim-up bar; the License to Chill Bar; and a 5 o’Clock Somewhere Bar and Grill, all presenting Cajun and Caribbean-inspired cuisine.

A unique addition is the “bark park,” aptly named the Barkaritaville Dog Park, welcoming guests traveling with their furry companions.

While Louisiana is already home to another Margaritaville Hotels & Resorts property—Margaritaville Bossier City Resort Casino—this marks the first Camp Margaritaville in the state. “We’ve seen amazing excitement and success around our Camp Margaritaville locations in the Southeast and are thrilled to expand our RV destination presence in Louisiana,” said Brad Schwaeble, Margaritaville’s COO.

Camp Margaritaville RV Resort Breaux Bridge is currently welcoming guests, with RV sites starting at $70 a night and cottages beginning at $270. For more information, visit margaritavilleresorts.com.
