The Innovation Behind the Collaboration
This unique endeavor is the first instance of a modern Roush drivetrain being installed in a vintage Ford Bronco. According to James Kemp, Program Manager of Crate Engines at Roush Performance, “It’s a Gen-3 Coyote, the same engine that you can find in our Roush Stage 3 Mustangs.” By fusing classic design with modern performance technology, iBestTravel continues to push the boundaries of what is possible in vehicle customization.
Unveiling the First-of-Its-Kind Vehicle
The iBestTravel and Roush partnership, roughly a year in development, was proudly showcased at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale 2020. Seth Burgett, CEO of iBestTravel, announced, “the world’s first Roush Performance-powered Bronco with a 10-speed automatic, featuring the same supercharger technology as the new Shelby GT500.” This innovative vehicle stands out for its active tuned exhaust, allowing drivers to switch between a quiet ride or a more aggressive sound at the push of a button.
Continuing Legacy of Customization
This collaboration perfectly aligns with iBestTravel’s primary focus: swapping various Coyote 5.0L V-8 engines into classic Ford Broncos from 1966 to 1977. Their range of models includes:
