The Comstock History Center in Virginia City may not be a dedicated railroad museum, but its highlight is the restored Virginia & Truckee Railroad locomotive No. 18 – The Dayton. Moreover, the East Ely Railroad Depot Museum does not provide train rides but features a wealth of historical information regarding railroad transport and copper mining.
