Discounts on General State Fair Admission

Children 5 and under enjoy free admission, making it easier for families to save. For those beyond kindergarten age, there are several excellent opportunities to get into the Indiana State Fair this year at a reduced price:

  • Buy tickets in advance (through Aug. 5): Admission tickets are available for $7 at various locations including Indiana Wal-Mart stores, CVS, Indiana Farm Bureau offices, and the Indiana State Fairgrounds Box office until Aug. 5.
  • Free tickets from the Indianapolis Star: The Monday, Aug. 10 edition will feature a free ticket for admission on either Wednesday, Aug. 12, or Thursday, Aug. 13, alongside another coupon for free admission on Wednesday, Aug. 19, and Thursday, Aug. 20.
  • Free admission for military families, Sunday, Aug. 16: Current and former members of the Armed Forces, along with their families, will receive free admission on this day with military identification.
  • BMV Carload Day, Monday, Aug. 17: Presenting a voucher from the BMV allows up to 10 people to enter for just $15 on Aug. 17.
  • Free admission for state employees on Thursday, Aug. 20: State employees can gain free entry on this date by presenting their employee ID.

Best State Fair Parking Deals

  • Free parking at the fairgrounds: Free parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Entry is permitted through multiple gates, and additional free parking is available at the Indiana School for the Deaf.
  • Free State Fair Park & Ride: Park at Glendale Mall’s Rural Street lot and enjoy a free shuttle service that runs every 20 minutes during the fair.
  • Pedal & Park: Cycle to the fair and save $1 on admission by using secured bike racks along the Monon Trail.
