Summary
The Royal Caribbean Oasis of the Seas is large enough to feature seven distinct neighborhoods. Two of these are the Pool and Sports Zone and the Vitality at Sea Spa and Fitness Center.
Pool and Sports Zone
The Pool and Sports Zone, coupled with the other neighborhoods such as Central Park, Boardwalk, Entertainment Place, Youth Zone, and Royal Promenade, provides passengers with a wide array of experiences on a cruise. Stretching the length of the ship, this area is a playground for passengers of all ages, featuring private cabanas, four unique types of pools, and two FlowRider surf simulators—each larger than the one found on the line’s Freedom-class ships. Building on Royal Caribbean’s Vitality wellness program, guests can soothe their mind, body, and soul at the Vitality at Sea Spa and Fitness Center. New on the spa services menu are unique spa treatments and Kinesis group classes, offering a full-body, no-impact workout that engages multiple muscle groups simultaneously.
The Pool and Sports Zone showcases modern additions to traditional amenities, including an intimate adults-only Solarium and sports deck. The first Beach Pool at sea features a sloped entry for wading into the water or relaxing in colorful beach chairs under umbrellas as the water rolls gently beneath. Two whirlpools flank the beach area for those preferring warmer waters. Located on the opposite side of the ship from the Beach Pool, separated by six decks below Central Park, is the Main Pool with two side-by-side whirlpools, ideal for relaxation in the sun. Private cabanas, complete with dedicated attendants, overlook both pools.
Great for Families
Families looking for fun in the sun will easily spot Royal Caribbean’s signature H2O Zone, marked by a giant octopus with its slides and water-spraying tentacles, surrounded by water-spouting sea creatures. This interactive aquatic playground includes separate wading and current pools, as well as a dedicated infant and toddler pool, with numerous adult and child-sized lounge chairs available. For the competitive, the Sports Pool offers opportunities for basketball, badminton, and water polo, while morning hours can be dedicated to lap swimming.
The Solarium
Adults searching for a peaceful retreat can find solace in the Solarium, which boasts a redesigned layout that gives the sensation of floating on air. This two-deck-high, glass-paneled enclave features seating on various “islands” surrounded by water. The adults-only, open-air Solarium includes a swimming pool, two whirlpools, and four cantilevered whirlpools suspended 136 feet above the ocean. The mezzanine level offers an overview of the pool deck below and additional seating. The new Solarium Bistro provides casual fare from the Vitality spa menu during the day, transforming into a romantic and intimate setting for evening dining and dancing under the stars.
Sports Deck
The Sports Deck in the Pool and Sports Zone also boasts modern innovations, including the first zip line at sea, along with two popular FlowRider surf simulators, positioned on each side of the elevated back deck. Other attractions such as the nine-hole miniature golf course, Oasis Dunes, provide challenges for golfers of varying skills, while the Sports Court invites friendly games of basketball and volleyball. Spectators can enjoy refreshments at the Wipe Out Bar while watching flow boarding passengers.
Spa and Fitness Center
The Vitality at Sea Spa and Fitness Center features various amenities catering to complete body wellness. This spa includes a Thermal Suite, heated tile loungers, saunas, and steam rooms; as well as three couples massage suites and seven individual treatment rooms—the largest collection at sea. Kids and teens also have a dedicated Spa, where they can enjoy specialized services. The Fitness Center provides an ample selection of the latest cardio and resistance equipment for personal workouts or participation in spinning, kickboxing, Pilates, and yoga classes. After a satisfying workout or soothing spa session, the Vitality Café serves healthy snacks, light meals, and refreshing juices.
Oasis of the Seas is one of the largest cruise ships globally. An architectural marvel at sea, she spans 16 decks, encompasses 220,000 gross registered tons (GRT), carries 5,400 passengers at double occupancy, and features 2,700 staterooms. The ship highlights Royal Caribbean’s innovative neighborhood concept with seven distinct themed areas, including Central Park, Boardwalk, the Royal Promenade, and the Pool and Sports Zone along with the Vitality at Sea Spa and Fitness Center. The ship sails from its home port of Port Canaveral, Florida.
