Thrilling Outdoor Adventures at Terrapin in Savage, Maryland

Terrapin Adventures is an outdoor adventure center located in Savage, Maryland, just 30 minutes from Washington DC, Baltimore, and Annapolis. This unique tour company offers exciting activities like ziplining, ropes courses, a giant swing, and a climbing tower. They also host custom tours, birthday parties, fundraising events, and team-building experiences. Set on nearly 2 acres within the grounds of the historic Savage Mill, a 19th-century textile mill, visitors can explore antique shops, craft galleries, restaurants, and more.

In 2014, the Terrapin Explorer Ropes Course was introduced for children ages 5 to 9, featuring 24 exciting elements to walk, balance, swing, zip, and crawl through. This includes two zip lines, two levels, and a 20 ft high rock wall. The experience is both adrenalizing and challenging.

Terrapin Adventures offers the thrill of gliding through the trees across a 330 ft. long zip line. This activity is a fun way to kick off your adventure and get energized for a day filled with new experiences.

Three-Level Ropes Course

The Ropes Course at Terrapin Adventures presents three levels of challenges. Participants begin at the lower level and can work their way up to a thrilling course reaching heights of up to 40 feet. With a guided experience and a safety system including continuous cables, guests can participate in part or all of the course. The complete access package provides four hours of exhilarating challenges.

Guided Adventure on the Ropes Course

The ropes course at Terrapin Adventures is a guided challenge that takes participants across the treetops, testing balance, coordination, and sense of adventure.

Net Challenge

The Terrapin Ropes Course features a variety of challenges, including navigating across a net to the next set of obstacles.

Thrilling Giant Swing

The Giant Swing at Terrapin Adventures is an exhilarating experience for participants aged 8 and up. Two or three individuals can strap into a harness and soar to nearly 40 feet in this uniquely designed swing.

Climbing Tower Adventures

The Climbing Tower at Terrapin Adventures offers various challenges for climbers, including rock climbing, net climbing, and ascending using tires and swinging ladders to reach the top.

Rainbow Serpent Descent

For a unique descent down the Terrapin Tower, guests can climb headfirst down the Rainbow Serpent.
