The Cell Phone Waiting Lots at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport provide free areas for drivers to wait in their vehicles while passengers deplane, collect luggage, and proceed to the curb.
How to Get There
To reach the airport, follow the driving directions provided. Once you arrive, you can easily locate one of the three dedicated Cell Phone Waiting Lots.
Where to Park and Wait
- The Cell Phone Waiting Lot located west of Terminal 2 is adjacent to the West Economy Lot. This lot features signage displaying all airline telephone numbers and an electronic flight information board for arrivals. The lot accommodates approximately 90 vehicles and includes portable restrooms.
- East of Terminal 4, which is the busiest terminal at Sky Harbor, there is another Cell Phone Waiting Lot. This area also provides an electronic flight information display and airline contact signage, with around 90 available spaces and portable restrooms.
- A Cell Phone Lot is located at the PHX Sky Train station at 44th Street and Washington. Parking here is free while you wait for passengers arriving at the station using the PHX Sky Train. However, note that this location does not have electronic flight boards or arrival signage. It provides around 25 spaces, and restrooms are available within the station.
Tips
The waiting areas are intended for use of 30 minutes or less, and it is important to stay with your vehicle.
Utilizing Sky Harbor’s Cell Phone Lots is both simple and cost-effective. The electronic boards will indicate when a flight has arrived at the gate. Remember, however, that although a flight may have arrived, passengers may still be deplaning, passing through the terminal, and collecting their luggage, which can take some time. Therefore, it is advisable for incoming passengers to contact you via cell phone once they have their luggage and are ready to head to the curb at the arrivals side of the terminal. This way, it should only take a few minutes for you to leave the cell phone lot and pick them up.
