The blue and white Chiang Kai Shek memorial building is located at the rear of Liberty Square. Despite his efforts, he ultimately lost that battle, which resulted in his flight to Taiwan—a country that thrives in freedom today.
This memorial building is indeed impressive and shares a slight resemblance to Beijing’s Temple of Heaven, albeit with a less ornate appearance, in my opinion.
Inside, visitors can explore a small museum—more like a mini-museum—and watch the hourly changing of the guard ceremony, a fascinating event worth witnessing.
