Adam Sandler Receives the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor

Adam Sandler is the 2023 recipient of the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. This prestigious recognition highlights his impactful contributions as an actor and comedian over the years.

The former “Saturday Night Live” star joins a notable list of past winners, including Tina Fey, Steve Martin, Carol Burnett, Eddie Murphy, and Dave Chappelle.

“Adam Sandler has entertained audiences for over three decades with his films, music, and his tenure as a fan-favorite cast member on ‘SNL,'” said Kennedy Center President Deborah F. Rutter. “Adam has created characters that have made us laugh, cry, and cry from laughing.”

The award ceremony will air Sunday at 8 p.m. ET, exclusively on CNN.
