Discover the Ultimate Adults-Only All-Inclusive Resort in the Florida Keys

An All-Inclusive Getaway in the Florida Keys

You don’t need a passport to get to this all-inclusive waterfront resort. With its toes-in-the-sand dining, palm-tree-lined beaches, and all-inclusive rate, you might think Bungalows Key Largo belongs on a Caribbean island. However, you don’t need a passport to visit the only true adults-only, all-inclusive resort in the Florida Keys. Opened in 2019, the resort features 135 individual bungalows—each boasting its own outdoor rain shower and soaking tub—two pools, and seemingly endless spots to bask under the sun, fruity cocktail in hand.

Located 63 miles from Miami International Airport, Bungalows Key Largo feels like a true escape without traveling far. Upon entering the resort, the Overseas Highway fades into the background, and guests are welcomed by perfectly manicured grounds adorned with turquoise lounges, vibrant bougainvillea, and lush tropical foliage.

Luxurious Accommodations

With the resort’s prime waterfront location, spacious bungalows, and exclusive over-21 policy, it serves as an ideal destination for adults seeking an island getaway—whether for a romantic escape or a friendly getaway. In my case, the resort was the perfect spot for a relaxing weekend with my sister.

Memorable Experiences

Our experience commenced with a sunset catamaran cruise, complemented by snacks and drinks, followed by delightful dinner and nighttime entertainment. One of the best aspects of an all-inclusive vacation is the simplicity it offers; nearly everything is planned for you, allowing you to truly relax and enjoy your time.

We maximized our enjoyment with plenty of areas to unwind without the need to reserve a cabana, whether at the calm, greenery-laden Zen Pool or a lively spot by the Sunset Pool. Although the beach lacks a sandy entrance, floating rings are available for relaxation before you return to the sandy areas onshore.

In addition to the sunset cruise, we enjoyed a party cruise on a tiki boat and participated in a lively karaoke night, resulting in lots of laughter and dancing. When we weren’t engaging in water activities, we frequented the thatched-roof tiki bar, relishing a mai tai by the pool or the breeze in the Living Room lounge.

Dining Options

At Bungalows Key Largo, we savored culinary delights at five dining venues: Fish Tales, Sea Señor, Bogie and Bacall’s, Sunset Tiki Bar, and Hemingway Bar, along with snacks by the pools. Sea Señor stood out with its toes-in-the-sand seating and exquisite sunset views, making it the perfect spot to enjoy margaritas and nachos. The Hemingway Bar, influenced by the famous Keys resident, offers inventive cocktails that elevate the standard experience at most all-inclusive resorts.

Conclusion

Before planning a stay at any all-inclusive resort, reading the fine print is crucial to fully understand what’s included. At Bungalows Key Largo, accommodations, meals at five restaurants, most alcoholic beverages, use of cruiser bikes, and non-motorized water sports equipment, alongside entertainment and parking, are included in your rate. However, excursions such as catamaran cruises, tiki boat rides, premium drinks, spa services, and gratuities cost extra.

The closest major airport is Miami International Airport, followed by Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. Since it’s an all-inclusive property, we arranged an Uber ride from MIA for our arrival and a car service to return at the end of our stay.
