Nonstop Flights to Puerto Rico Launched by Frontier Airlines

Frontier Airlines has recently initiated several new nonstop flights to Puerto Rico from various cities across the mainland United States, perfectly timed for the upcoming summer holidays.

1. New Flights to Puerto Rico

Last week, the airline announced flights from San Juan, the capital of Puerto Rico, to five U.S. cities, according to the airline. The new routes will connect Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport with Cleveland, Baltimore, Chicago (MDW), Dallas (DFW), and Detroit.

2. Flights from Puerto Rico to Florida

Moreover, Frontier has added two routes linking Puerto Rico to Florida. This includes a path between Rafael Hernández International Airport in Aguadilla and Tampa, along with a connection from Mercedita International Airport in Ponce to Orlando.

Additionally, the airline is expanding its service with flights from San Juan to Cancun, Mexico, starting on May 11. “Our major expansion in Puerto Rico is connecting the island to some of the most popular destinations across the United States, as well as Cancun,” stated Daniel Shurz, the senior vice president of commercial at Frontier Airlines. He added, “In addition to bringing increased tourism to the island, Puerto Ricans now have more access to Frontier’s ‘Low Fares Done Right’ to visit friends and family across the U.S.”

The introduction of these eight new routes increases Frontier’s total service to Puerto Rico to 20 nonstop flights. This expansion coincides with Frontier’s recent move to discount its unlimited summer flight pass by $500 until the end of the month. This offer, valid through September 30, covers destinations within the U.S. and beyond, including Puerto Rico and Mexico.
