Experience
A native New Yorker, Alison has spent most of her life in Brooklyn. With a focus on travel, she has penned multiple guidebooks and articles about NYC. Furthermore, she co-manages a writers’ space in Brooklyn and leads creative writing workshops for the New York Writers Coalition. Alison has been writing about Brooklyn travel for iBestTravel since 2015.
Moreover, Alison is a playwright, having produced works in New York and California. Her plays have been performed in Brooklyn, including a few at the annual GI60, which is a one minute play festival held at Brooklyn College.
Using a pen name, she currently writes a middle-grade fiction series that has been on the Publishers Weekly bestseller list for several months. Occasionally, she contributes humor pieces that have appeared in various online publications.
