Amtrak Offers Kids Ride Free Flash Sale
Amtrak is currently hosting a “Kids Ride Free” flash sale, enabling one child aged 2-12 to travel for free alongside each paid adult ticket throughout the US.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Amtrak has implemented enhanced safety protocols to ensure peace of mind for travelers. It mandates that all customers and employees wear face masks or coverings while onboard and in stations. Moreover, Amtrak has limited bookings on most trains to facilitate greater physical distancing in seating areas. Enhanced cleaning and disinfecting measures are actively practiced at stations and onboard its trains, equipped with efficacious air filtration systems that refresh the air every four to five minutes.
This sale is applicable for multiple train routes including the Acela, Northeast Regional, and various others such as the Adirondack, Amtrak Cascades, and Empire Service. Furthermore, it is also valid on trains operating on the national network, including Auto Train, California Zephyr, and Crescent, among others. However, it’s important to note that the sale does not apply to the Pennsylvanian, Keystone, Capitol Corridor, and certain Thruways.
According to Roger Harris, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing and Revenue Officer at Amtrak, “Whether visiting family, embarking on a cross-country trip, or enjoying a weekend getaway, we genuinely believe that the journey constitutes a vital part of any adventure. Consequently, this sale allows travelers to add an extra layer of enjoyment and create memorable experiences aboard Amtrak.”
The offer is valid for travel in coach and Acela business class, requiring an advance reservation of at least three days. Please note that blackout dates include November 24, 25, 28, 29, and 30. For further details on the Amtrak service, you can visit their official site here.
