Highlights from the 74th Annual Tony Awards

The Tony Awards took place in New York on Sunday night, more than two years after the last award ceremony. The show, which honors the best on Broadway, was postponed last year due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The ceremony recognized the best of the 2019-2020 Broadway season, and was hosted by Audra McDonald at the Winter Garden Theatre.

Following the ceremony, a two-hour concert special titled “Broadway’s Back!” showcased incredible performances along with the live presentation of three notable Tony Awards: best play, best revival of a play, and best musical.
