The list of India’s best restaurants for 2023 has been released, and Indian Accent at The Lodhi, New Delhi, has once again secured the top spot. This achievement marks the third time Indian Accent has been ranked #1 at the CNT India’s Top Restaurant Awards, having previously won in 2017 and 2019.

The ranking was unveiled at a prestigious ceremony held at Taj Lands End, Bandra. The CNT India’s Top Restaurant Awards represent a definitive and authoritative ranking of India’s premier dining establishments. The final list is curated through multiple rounds of voting by 100 jurors nationwide, ensuring impartiality through the oversight of an independent auditor. The jury is comprised of food writers, critics, and influential creators, all vetted for any potential conflicts of interest to maintain regional diversity.

Changes in the Restaurant Landscape

After a three-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the CNT India’s Top Restaurant Awards have returned with a fresh list, reflecting evolving dining trends across the country. Some traditional favorites have been replaced with newcomers, such as the highly popular Veronica’s in Mumbai, which has made an impressive debut in the top 10.

Interestingly, while Goa was anticipated to dominate the list with the highest number of representatives, Mumbai leads with 12 restaurants featured. Following closely is Bengaluru with 11 entries, while Delhi and Goa boast eight and seven establishments, respectively, within the top 50.
