Yes, you heard that right. It sounds simple enough – roll your clothes and place them in the suitcase, right? However, if you truly want to save space and keep your clothes wrinkle-free, you’ll need to add in this crucial step: Fold one end of the clothing, and that will hold the roll in place until long after you land.
Understanding the Ranger Rolling Technique
The method is called Ranger Rolling. To properly roll your clothes, lay the item of clothing out flat. Then fold the bottom two inches of the item inside out so it creates a type of pocket along one side of the clothing. From the opposite end, roll the item tightly until you get to the pocket you’ve created. Fold one side of the pocket over the roll, securing it tightly.
